Movies that matter
Problem
The festival required a revamped promotional strategy to attract a younger, global audience, necessitating a modern redesign of its posters to align with its social justice themes and contemporary design trends.
Solution
The integrated approach led to successfully refreshed promotional posters that should boost the festival’s appeal to a younger demographic and increase engagement through strategic placements and social media. This did not happen, however, as this was only a project at school. I did not work with a real client, at least the client didn’t know I worked on their case.
Strategic Analysis
Conducted market research and demographic studies to optimize future development in visual communication and social media strategy designed later for the client.
Management Principles
This segment explored the entrepreneurial approach to managing and promoting the festival. It focused on sustainability, adapting to current trends, and risk management, particularly regarding public health and environmental factors.
Design Execution
The creative process involved designing high-impact visual posters that resonated with the target demographic. Feedback from target audience surveys guided the design process, ensuring the visuals were appealing and communicated the festival’s values effectively.

Haags Historisch Museum
Problem
The museum struggled to engage younger, digitally-savvy visitors, requiring a solution that combined educational content with interactive technology. The challenge was to make historical exhibits more engaging through immersive VR experiences to attract and retain younger audiences.
Solution
The projects aimed to transform traditional museum exhibits into interactive and immersive experiences using VR technology. This included developing VR content that accurately represented historical events, strategically implementing VR setups to attract younger audiences, and iteratively refining these experiences based on user feedback.
Device and Media Development
Based on research, I designed a feasible prototype of a Google Cardboard device with the museum’s branding and proposals of content displayed on them to make them interactive and engaging.
Strategic Implementation
A market analysis was conducted to understand how VR could be strategically implemented to enhance visitor engagement and competitive positioning. This phase included identifying key demographics for VR content and aligning it with current museum offerings to ensure coherence and relevance.
Prototypes and Testing
Multiple VR prototypes were developed and tested with target audiences to refine usability and engagement. Feedback was used to adjust content and presentation, ensuring the VR experiences were both informative and engaging.

BSMN
DJ / Producer Duo
Problem
The goal of this project was to expand the fan base and increase the recognition of the music duo BSMN in the Netherlands. The project focused on marketing strategies and value creation, including collaborations with third parties to create value for both parties.
Scrapped Plan
One of the ideas developed along the way with my team was to allow the client to play and record a full DJ set at Delft Porcelain Museum. Despite interest and involvement by both parties, due to school-enforced project rules, we had to switch to a different concept. Despite that, I decided to put this part of the project in the portfolio because it took much time and is relevant.
End Product
The final product delivered for the client was a value creation plan for the music duo BSMN. This plan included detailed marketing strategies, a media plan, and a timeline for implementation, with the following elements:
Event Plan – Partnering with vintage/thrift stores to create customized merchandise, allowing fans to personalize items with BSMN's brand colors.
Marketing Strategy – Using social media platforms, including pre-event, event, and post-event promotional activities.
Sustainability Focus Campaign – Emphasis on using locally sourced and sustainable materials for merchandise and event planning.
Strategies to Increase Fan Interaction – Enhancing engagement through unique experiences such as live performances at events and social media contests.
Budget and Risk Management – A detailed budget plan and risk assessment with solutions for potential challenges.
